You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Been snoopin' round my door
You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Been snoopin' round my door
You can wag your tail
But I ain't gonna feed you no more
You told me you was high class
I could see through that
You told me you was high class
I could see through that
And baby I know
You ain't no real cool cat
First Verse
You made me feel so blue
You made me weep and moan
You made me feel so blue
You made me weep and moan
'Cause I'm looking for a woman
All your lookin' for is a home
First Verse
Hideaway (1966) Eric Clapton w/ John Mayall's Blues Breakers (03:21)
Play in HQ to hear in stereo. For some people, the history of the electric guitar begins with
Mayall's Blues Breakers album featuring a young Eric Clapton playing a Les Paul Standard through a
Marshall amp. Even now, many believe this is Eric's greatest guitar work. At the time, 1966, no one
could quite believe the fluid guitar licks and the biting tone. This album was the basis for the
slogans around London saying 'Clapton is God'. For more info on the equipment Eric used on this
album ...
Back in the early 80s I took guitar lessons from a very good guitarist. He said if I learned Hideway by Clapton I would basically know all of Claptons licks. He was right this song just about has them all. Of course knowing the riffs doesn't make you a Clapton.
